WINDSURFING IN SOTAVENTO - FUERTEVENTURA SOUTH

This is an ideal option for advanced & experienced windsurfers. Windsurfing accommodation close to the beach and/or windsurf center, a wide selection of boards from Jp and F2, rigs from Neilpryde + a hire car to give you the freedom to explore the island.
Who's it for?
This package is perfect for advanced & experienced windsurfers you should have at least 30 hours of experience and need to understand and be able to demonstrate board control, basic steering, tacking and upwind sailing.

There are four possibilities for your windsurfing accommodation:
Our Budget Apartments in the resort of Costa Calma,
our Resort Apartments in central Costa Calma,
our Luxury Clifftop Apartments with breathtaking panoramic views
our Luxury Beachfront Hotel on the beach in front of the windsurf centre.

PRICES 2008
To avoid dissapointment in winter when the wind is less consistent, we have two Accommodation + rental options available.
In summer we offer Accommodation + 6 days Equipment Rental.
In Winter we offer Accommodation + 4 out of 7 days Equipment Rental.
Why? Statistically you are likely to get 4 good windy days a week in winter so why pay for weeks rental when you only require 4 days?

sizes available and you can reserve a different board for
the day depending on availability.
• The following Neilpryde sails are available:
Alpha, Combat, Excess, Zone & Saber.
There are 6 sail lines in a total of 35 different sizes.

World Cup Range

(Full wood + Carbon-Kevlar-Wood Sandwich)
• The F2 boards in the 'World Cup' range include:
Guerilla, Chilli,Super X Freemove, Slalom & Retro.
• The JP boards in the 'World Cup' range include:
Real World wave, Freestyle Wave, Freestyle, Freeride,
Super Cross, Slalom & Super Sport
There are 19 board types in a total of 58 different board sizes
available and you can reserve a different board for the day
depending on availability.
• The following Neilpryde sails are available:
Alpha, Combat, Excess, Zone & Saber.
Full Carbon sail line RS6 to be used with the World Cup boards.

DATES & AVAILABILITY 2008
The Sotavento Windsurfing Academy is open all year round as the south of Fuerteventura will deliver suitable wind and waves for intermediate ability windsurfers all year. If you are looking for a wave riding holiday, the winter months produce bigger swells and offer more consistency. If you want the best possible wind and flatter waters the summer months deliver consistant wind. Equipment should be reserved well in advance especially in the summer months.
OTHER WINDSURFING COURSES
The Windsurfing Academy in Fuerteventura South is located in Sotavento and all Windsurfing sessions take place on the beaches or lagoons in Playa de Sotavento. There are wndsurfing courses available for all levels of windsurfers from 'never-have's' to pro's. Click on the link below to view the:
