Learning to jibe a short board will keep you sailing instead of swimming. Jibing a small board requires board speed and sailor quickness.

This course is aimed at helping you master this skill and hopefully help you on your way to becoming a wave head. The aim is also to give you a clear understanding of how the jibe should work and help you to adjust to different situations and correct your mistakes. We can also work on learning to turn on the swells. Jibing on swells can be easier than jibing on flat water since you can slide down the face of the swell to maintain your board speed through the turn.
On this clinic you will be:
• Learning to get through a shorebreak
• Learning and practising speed and planing techniques
• Perfecting the power jibe
• Learning variants of the power and duck jibe
• Going out in all wind conditions
