Most of the southern region of the island is a protected area meaning that tourism has not destroyed the very beauty that attracts visitors in the first place. The south coast is a long stretch of outstanding white beaches known as Playa de Sotavento de Jandia. Miles upon miles of sandy paradise. Sotavento lies directly in a wind excelleration zone and in summer the winds can reach speeds of up to 9 Bft.(45 knots), great news for intermediate & advanced windsurfers. Beginners courses take place in huge shallow lagoons. So whether you are an absolute beginner, a cross-over windsurfer or a serious wave addict we have the windsurfing holiday to match your addiction.
