GETTING TO FUERTEVENTURA - BY AIR

Book your flights to Puerto del Rosario Airport (FUE/GCFV) in Fuerteventura. The airport is located five kilometres from the capital of the island, Puerto del Rosario.

GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT TO YOUR ACCOMMODATION - TRANSFERS

Access to and from the airport from the capital city of Puerto del Rosario and destinations to the North (Corralejo) and south (Sotavento) are via the island’s main north-south motorway FV-1. The airport and town names are well signposted from the motorway and adjoining secondary roads. For travellers who have not arranged a transfer through Zoco, you can either rent a car at Airport or get a taxi to your accommodation.

WINDSURFING HOLIDAY OR MULTI-ADVENTURE CLIENTS

As part of your 'Fuerteventura Windsurfing Experience' Ground transportation is provided from Puerto del Rosario airport to your accommodation in Corralejo or Sotavento. However, if you miss the transportation that is provided for you for any reason including flight delays, earlier or later departure, etc. ground transportation via bus or taxi will be at your own expense.

GETTING AROUND

Car hire is essential if you want to tour the island. A rental car (Opel Corsa 2005) will cost you around 133€ (euros) per week and fuel costs around 90c per litre. The price includes: Full mileage, full insurance and airport delivery.

Travel and Health Insurance

European Union citizens can enter the Canary Islands with just their passport. No vaccinations are needed. Whilst there are reciprocal health agreements within the European Union a separate travel and health insurance should be considered essential. Please ensure your insurance covers your for dangerous sports especially surfing. We also recommend you bring a valid E111 which can be picked-up from your local post office.
