The Windsurfing academy was founded in 1987, is a recognised VDWS center and has been successfully running windsurfing courses for people of all ages from all over the world. This is a local school run by locals and is well respected as one of the best training grounds in europe.
WINDSURFING INSTRUCTORS
The academy has an experienced team of windsurfing instructors who are accustomed to coaching at different levels. Most of the team have travelled extensively, have a healthy respect for the ocean and the environment and are fully qualified in their respective countries. Languages spoken include: French, German, English, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Norweigian and Danish. The team have a keen interest in other sports such as surfing, sailing, kitesurfing, snowboarding and diving.
PROFESSIONAL WINDSURF COACHING
We offer a wide range of coaching, lessons and private tuition, from beginner up to advanced. The windsurfing centre is located at an intermediate/advanced location but 20 minutes drive away there is an ideal beginners teaching lagoon. All the beginner and most intermediate courses are run in this lagoon, where there is shallow (1m), protected water with a sandy bottom.
THE LATEST WINDSURFING EQUIPMENT
The Windsurfing Academy stock over 70 Fanatic boards and about 170 North sails. The equipment is designed for beginners, intermediates and advanced windsurfers. Safety is always a key factor. Beginners will use boards designed for both stability and safety and the instructors will select a board suitable for your size, weight and level. All the equipment is checked and maintained on a regular basis to ensure you have the best material at your disposal. The centre also provide a wide range of good quality wetsuits at no extra charge.
