SURFING HOLIDAYS IN LOREDO - NIGHTLIFE & OTHER KICKS
Situated between the river Treto and the bay of Santoña, Laredo is one of the main tourist towns on the Cantabrian coast. It has one of the biggest and most beautiful beaches in the region: La Salvé, an immense stretch of sand of measuring some five kilometres.
Laredo's festival of 'the Flower Battle', which is held on the last Friday in August is well worth checking out. This is a a quiet village, with only one pub and even that is only open in July and August ;-). You best bet for a night out is to head into Santander. Santander is 25 kms from the village and you can head over by ferry (3 euros) and come back by taxi (the last ferry is at 21:00h).

Cantabria is a great destination to enjoy the great outdoors. Golfing, trekking, horse riding, sailing, yachting, scuba diving, canoeing... you name it it's available.
