Tandem Skydiving
Tandem Skydiving is the way to go if you want the ultimate joy ride and want to try it out before committing to a full course. Experience the thrill of freefall. On a tandem jump, you are strapped to a Tandem Instructor with a special harness that's attached to a specially designed parachute large enough to support both of you. A tandem jump requires only 15 minutes of ground training. After that it's a spectacular 20-minute aircraft ride, enjoying the finest views of Cape Town, Robben Island and Table Mountain. Then it's out the door for a 120mph/200kph freefall together, falling about 25 seconds from 9,000ft or for 35 seconds from 11,000ft. The Tandem Instructor then opens the parachute, and a peaceful 3-4 minute parachute ride follows.
If you'd like to capture the moment, the club has a video cameraman who can accompany you on your jump. A tandem jump requires that you're in general good health. The maximum weight for a tandem passenger is 105kg, heavier persons at the discretion of the Tandem Instructor. Parental consent is required for jumpers under the age of 21.
Included
Ground instruction by qualified tandem master

Tandem Paragliding Flights Cape Town
Since the late eighties, paragliding in South Africa has seen a tremendous growth. Presently the industry consists of more than 900 registered pilots and a staggering 1200 flying sites around South Africa. For many years, earthbound humans have looked up with envy at us wanna be birds, soaring high above the earth in our Para gliders and wondered how, when and what if I could fly.
The drawback in the past has been the lengthy paragliding training courses required before getting your feet properly off the ground. Tandem Paragliding is the solution with an over-sized, specially designed tandem glider and two harnesses, the sport now invites all who wish to explore the skies and soar the mountain tops, but dont want to learn to paraglide on their own. With Tandem Paragliding, as a passenger you require no previous knowledge of the sport at all. The pilot will brief you on take off and landing shortly before the flight. The only important thing to remember is to listen to the instructions of the pilot and to have total confidence in his experience. Take offs are easy and landings are soft where most often we land on large fields with no obstacles or dangers. Once you are securely strapped into the passenger harness in front of the pilot, the paraglider is laid out on the take off site facing into the wind, with a gentle tug the glider is pulled upward into the wind and begins inflating, only once fully inflated and a quick line check has been done, will the pilot instruct the passenger to begin running forward, in a few seconds both pilot and passenger will be lifted from the ground and swept off your feet be the flying paraglider. From behind the pilot will help you get comfortable in your harness and the flight is underway. In flight the passenger has the benefit of being in front with a fantastic view of the mountains and earth below.
Although we cant guarantee the length of the flights, we will always do our best to sustain the flight from 10 30 minutes. On average our flights are around 20 minutes.
Equipment
All Paragliding equipment conforms to international standards and is regularly checked before and after each flight. Our paragliding harnesses are fitted with impact protection and the pilots harnesses are equipped with reserve parachutes in the unlikely event of an emergency. Both pilot and passenger are required by SAHPA to wear certified flying helmets. The use of a full flying suit for cooler days and winter flying is an option. All equipment will be supplied to you on the day of your flight. You need only bring a good pair of lace up shoes or hiking boots and a warm jacket.
Flying sites and weather conditions
We are able to fly almost anywhere where the wind direction and wind speed fall within our safety requirements. However, we only use SAHPA recognized flying sites, some of which have been tailor made for safe paragliding and hang-gliding take off. We have erected camouflage shade net on the take off area to prevent erosion and lessen the environmental impact.
Flying Sites
Lions Head, Signal Hill, Sir Lowries Pass, Hermanus, Franschhoek Pass, Noordhoek and the Garden Route from Wilderness to Port Elizabeth. Most commonly we fly in and around the Cape Town area. We do offer half-day tours to the out of town sites like Hermanus, Franschhoek, Piketberg and Sir Lowries Pass.
Weather
Paragliding is weather reliant, but have been able to fly almost 200 days a year, throughout summer and winter. We do not specifically need any wind to get airborne but most suitable conditions range from 10kms per hour to a max of 30kms per hour to launch and land safely. The direction of the wind is also a deciding factor, the wind should be blowing directly up the slope or launching site, with a tolerance of 15 degrees off centre being acceptable. Days where the weather is beautiful and clear with no clouds and good temperatures are not necessarily the most suitable conditions for paragliding, although these days often fall within our safe flying perimeters.

Scuba Diving
All diving related services including boat charters, guided shore dives, air fill, gear rental, sales & servicing are done through a PADI 5 star Gold Palm IDC (Instruction Development Centre) Resort. Boat dives are scheduled every Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday (other days upon demand), and daily shore dives are arranged upon bookings. We dive either the False Bay (mainly during our winter) or Atlantic side (mainly in our summer), depending on the wind & sea conditions.
We have many wrecks, reefs and kelp forests on both sides, so there is a wide variety of diving that can be done in Cape Town. The wrecks here are great dives, and the reefs offer amazing dives, as they are full of life and colour.
Boat dives are done from a 7.3m semi ridged inflatable with 2x 85hp outboard engines. Depending on where we launch the boat from, but usually we kit our equipment up at the shop. We put the equipment on the boat and we then drive through to the slipway where we will launch the boat. At the slipway there are unfortunately not much facilities so its wise to take some lunch with for in-between dives. We urge everybody to leave all valuables at the dive centre and not to take it with on the boat.
We include the service of a Dive Master on all our dives.
Please can you let us know your dive certification level & when last you dived, where you have dived & how many dives you have done.
We offer transport from and to your accommodation.
