There are a lot of great places to surf in South Africa, but bottom line is - you gotta surf J-Bay. When you finally see the waves at Jeffrey's Bay, you will know what all the fuss is about. If you get J-bay when it's on, you will surf some of the longest, fastest waves of your life. You have to make it to J-Bay at least once.

On the Cape to J-Bay surfari you will explore the southern tip of Africa from Cape Town's white sandy beaches through the indigenous forests of the Garden Route and end up surfing J-Bay - one of the worlds best right handers..

The tours are usually for seven days, but all our surfaris are customizable and there are 10 or 14 day options available. Tours include all transport from Cape Town to Jeffrey's Bay. There are loads of cool experiences and action-packed activities to be had between Cape Town and Jeffreys Bay, this is, after all, the adventure coast!

Day 3: Full Day - Wilderness and surrounding area.
Day 4: Depart Wilderness to Plettenberg Bay
Day 5: Depart Plettenberg Bay to Jeffrey’s Bay
Day 6: Full Day - Jeffrey’s Bay.
Day 7: Jeffrey’s Bay to Port Elizabeth for Departure.

The Wilderness - natures playground. Loads of surf in the area and a great little right hand point close by at Victoria Bay. Wilderness also offers a wide range of adventure activities.

Plettenberg Bay & Knysna, this area is beautiful and Plett offers some good beach breaks also suited to beginners. This is the heart of the Garden Route and there is no shortage of fun things to do and endless stretches of white sand beaches.

Tsitsikamma - The adventure capital of the Garden Route, anything from Black water tubing, tree top tours, hikes, bike rides through the forest, nature walks, bungi jumping... No surfing in Tsitsikamma though, the coast is very wild.

J-Bay - she needs no introduction. St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis, excellent surf spots, mostly right hand point breaks and hollow beachbreaks. Great fishing and hiking in this area, endless stretches of white sandy beach.

Options: You can extend your stay in J-Bay if you want more time to surf the epic waves. Contact us with your requirements and we will tailor a surfari around you.
