VULAMANZI/KELSO SURF CAMP

Situated 65km South of Durban, Vulamanzi is not your traditional surf camp! Zoco and our partners in South Africa have teamed up to provide you with a truly different surfing holiday.

The surf camp accommodation is in elevated self-catering wooden cabins nestled amongst wild Strelitzia and Red Milk wood trees. The camp is situated on a private beach and all rooms have awesome views of the break. The camp also has a bar and communal area, so you can enjoy a BBQ, ice-cold local brew and exchange tall surf stories with other surf campers.

You (or your group) will have your own surf instructor and each day your guide will discuss the surf, wind and swell conditions with you (or the group) and then take you surfing at a beach or reef that matches your surfing ability. Your surf guide can get you to over ten right hand point breaks and many more beach breaks in the area, there are also many surf breaks in the area that are suitable for beginners and surfing lessons are available for newbies.

The water is a balmy (19deg to 23 deg) and this area can be surfed throughout the year, with the months of April to September being the most consistent. Other activities include: Fishing, diving and adventure sports. Your guide can also arrange trips to local game parks and other tourist attractions.
