SURF SPOTS IN & AROUND LAGOS

This is meant as a rough guide to the surf spots directly in and around Lagos. This is by no means an 'A to Z' style list of all the surf spots and during your Multi-adventure holiday you will surf breaks along both the south and west coast of the Algarve. There are good surf spots all over this region if you take the time to go exploring.

MEIA PRAIA (Lagos town beach)

This beachbreak produces fun waves in the right conditions but is fairly inconsistant. It is a good spot for beginners and works well in big northerly or s/w swells. Offshore wind from the north.northwest.

PRAIA DA LUZ

Located on the outskirts of the village of Luz, this beach has something foe everyone, a left hand point break, a beachbreak and a right hand point break. The point is better for advanced and experienced surfers, while the beach has nice peaks for developing beginners and intermediate surfers, Works in Southwesterly swells, offshore wind from the North.

PRAIA DA SALEMA

This sheltered beach can get really good when the sand banks play ball. Works in big swells and, again, the offshore wind is from the northwest.

PRAIA DA ROCHA

A hollow left hander breaking off the side of a jetty. works on the mid to high tide and can get pretty busy when it's good.
