CARRAPATEIRA SURF CAMP & SURFARI - NIGHTLIFE & OTHER KICKS
Carrapateira is a very small town and off the tourist trail however there are one or two places to eat out and even a surf shop.
BARS & RESTAURANTS
In the village there's the Restaurante Torres that offer a basic menu and there are also a couple of Cafés near the beaches including the Snackbar Amado on Praia do Amado.
After a good surf session you'll need to refuel, a good post-surf meal can be had at the Restaurant do Cabrita just outside Carrapateira on the road to Bordeira. They do seafood and an excellent grilled chicken.
On the beach at Bordeira the O Sitio do Rio restaurant has a more elaborate menu including vegetarian meals.
Bar Barroca is a quiet bar in the center of Carrapateira near the crossroad. Other bars in the center of town include: Microbar, Bravo and O Quiosque
SELF CATERING
If you're cooking your own meals try the Minimercado Irene has most of the basics including fruit and vegetables, bread, croissants, frozen and tinned food, postcards, stamps etc.
The Mercado municipal sells fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat.
Padaria for white/brown breads, cakes and more...
