All the surfing instructors at the Bordeira Surf Camp are qualified FPS Federação Portuguesa de Surf professionals. This accreditation ensures that the surf lessons are run by qualified surf instructors using proven teaching techniques and that all the courses follow the latest safety guidelines for accredited surf schools.

SURFING INSTRUCTORS & GUIDES

Your knowledgeable surf crew will always make a huge effort to get you to the best waves on the day. The surf camps are open to surfers of all abilities and each day will surf at a break that suits your surfing ability. There are surf lessons available for newbies and beginners with certified surf instructors. The guides and instructors are all surfers who know the Algarve coast intimately, giving you the opportunity to surf the best waves available on the day including secret spots. The surf crew are there to make your stay at the camp run as smoothly as possible and will always be helpful, informative and (most importantly) try to ensure you're having a great time in the water and on the beach.

NEWBIES & BEGINNERS

You don't need to be able to surf to join the surf camp, the surf crew include certified surf instructors that have many years experience surfing and coaching at different levels. They have all the necessary skills and experience to help you progress to a level where you can become an independant surfer. The step-by-step approch used, and the personal attention ensure that most people are able to stand up and surf on their very first day!

INTERMEDIATE & EXPERIENCED SURFERS

The surf camp is also a perfect base for experienced surfers who'll find that the western Algarve offers a huge variety of waves and surf conditions from small, glassy beach breaks to epic peeling point breaks and sucky, hollow reefs. Winter usually produces bigger swells and more powerful surf but summer has its classic periods and who can resist surfing on warm sunny days when the surf is glassy and the 'well toned' are strutting their stuff.
