WHAT TO BRING - CORTEGAÇA & PORTO
Recommended boards and suits
For anyone booked on a course or clinic: all surf boards, wetsuits etc. are included and you will be issued a board to match your ability and appropriate suit for the time of year.
Surfers just wanting to hire gear: The Surf Camp in Cortegaça has a range of boards and wetsuits for hire. For more info see: Custom Surf Trips

Boards: The north of portugal has a variety of breaks, big stuff for the chargers and small gentle waves for beginners. A fish or an all round short board that works well in beach breaks from knee high to overhead. If possible a semi-gun pin tail for the point breaks and hollow beach breaks. There are also plenty of good spots for longboarders and bodyboarders.
Wetsuits: 4'3" mm full suits are required from January through to March and from April through June a 3'2" mm full suit will be fine. The summer months are warmer and a shortie/spring suit or boardshorts (If you're from Northern europe) will be enough. From October to December use a 3'2" mm full suit.
