PORTUGAL SURFARI - NIGHTLIFE & OTHER KICKS

This is your surfari and you do as you please. The surf crew recognize that surfers are people from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds, that some surfers want to surf all day everyday while others may have high powered stressful jobs and want to surf but also to relax and unwind.

The Portugal surfari is a 'back to nature trip', aimed at leaving the outside world behind for a few days, no bars, no disco's or TV, just wild and beautiful landscapes filled with pristine sandy beaches, whitewashed cottages, olive trees, rivers and pictoresque villages. This doesn't mean you don't party! Surfers know how to party and your surf crew are no different. In the evenings the music goes on, the ice cold beers come out, tall surf stories are exchanged around the camp fire and the sound of laughter fills the night air. (You're welcome to bring you own CD's and MP3/WMA discs.) For die hard party animals, a night out clubbing can be arranged, you need to mention it prior to the trip as in some areas it's hard to find a good bar in the neighborhood.

When you're not surfing enjoy the beach lifestyle join the crew and other campers in a game of frisbee, rugby, football, volleyball or cricket on the beach, check out the rock pools, go for a long walk along the beach, just enjoying the sun and the sound of the waves or just stretch out in the sun with a good book or mag. You surf crew will aslo arrange trips to the surf shops and local towns for shopping. At sunset make your way back to camp where the crew have prepared another suprisingly good and healthy meal prepared with fresh local produce.

Get up early for a dawn session and watch the sun rise from the surf or sleep in and wake to the smell of freshly ground coffee and the hustle and bustle of the surf crew as they get breakfast ready. After a good breakfast of Coffee, fresh rolls, fruit and more, you're readt to face another day of surfing, sun and fun.

SURF DISCOVERY

As you would if you were on a surf road trip with your buddies, you'll go looking for new beaches and surf spots and every cople of days you'll move further south in search of that perfect wave. The Portuguses coast is so diverse there is always something new and interesting to see from the green and wooded coast in the north to the dunes and steep cliffs of the south.
