PORTUGAL SURFARI

The Portugal Surfari is an adventure trip which explores the west coast of Portugal from Porto in the North to Lagos in the south. Approximately 850 kms of coastline! During your Portuguese road trip, you will camp in different spots and surf the surrounding beaches.

The Surfari is an adventure tour that caters for surfers of all surfing ability, qualified surf instructors are on hand to teach newbies and beginners while more experienced surfers surf with a local guide.

The tour is well organized and well catered and combines surfing, outdoor adventure and basic luxuries. This trip is ideal for surfers who haven't been to Portugal yet, it's a great opportunity to explore the coastline, beaches, villages and cities with a crew who know the coast like the back of their hands.

During your Portugal Surfari you will be camping and sleeping in comfortable 2 Person Tents (All the tents are supplied with a good mattress). Surfers with transfers from Porto or Faro may need 1 or 2 nights accommodation in a Hostel or Hotel.

• Pickup: Monday morning 8 o’clock from Praca da Liberdade, in front of the Sao Bento Railway station.
• Drop offs:
- Drop off Lagos Bus station on Saturday at 12 noon.
- Drop off Lisbon Airport on Saturday at 16.00 to catch return flight.
- Drop off Porto city centre 'Porto Hotel Residence Paulista' on Praca da Liberdade Saturday at 20.00. (Surfers who choose this option will require one extra night's hotel accomodation for Sunday flights).

ROUGH ITINERARY

Sunday: Arrive in Porto and spend night at hotel.
Monday: Depart at 8 am & drive south heading for Figueira da Foz.
Tuesday: Camp at Sao Pedero de Moel and surf in the area.
Wednesday: Surf Peniche all day. If its really good stay overnight.
Thursday: Set up base at Bordeira and surf the Algarve.
Friday: Surf at Punta Rueva, Odeceixe, Amoreira, Arrifana or Vale de Figueiras
Saturday: After breakfast, pack up and head back to Porto via drop off points in Lagos and Lisbon.
