SURFING HOLIDAYS IN PORTUGAL'S LISBOA VALE DO TEJO REGION
Recommended boards and suits
For anyone booked on a course or clinic: all surf boards, wetsuits etc. are included and you will be issued a board to match your ability and appropriate suit for the time of year.
Surfers just wanting to hire gear: The Surf Camp in Peniche has more than 40 boards to choose from and these range from shortboards to longboards. The wetsuits the Surf Camp use are Rip Curl Raptors and they have a complete range of sizes. For more info see: Custom Surf Trips
Surfers bringing their own gear: See our recommendations below.
Boards: Ericeira, Peniche & Baleal: have it all, big stuff for the chargers and small gentle waves for beginners. You can bring your shortboards and big wave gun's up to 9'4" depending on your ability. Mini mals and longboards can also be surfed at loads of the breaks in and around Peniche and Ericeira.
Wetsuits: 4'3" mm full suits are required from January through to March and from April through June a 3'2" mm full suit will be fine. The summer months are warmer and a shortie/spring suit or boardshorts (If you're from Northern europe) will be enough. From October to December use a 3'2" mm full suit.
