FPS Federação Portuguesa de Surf
BSA British Surfing Association and
DWW Deutsche Wellenreit Verband
These licenses include a lifeguard and didactics degree.
SURF GUIDES
If you are a competant surfer the knowledgeable guides will always make a huge effort to get you to the best waves on the day. Most of the surf guides have grown up surfing in Portugal and are respected in the water and by the local surfing community. All have qualified as surfing instructors, lifeguards or equivalent in their countries are multilingual and speak a good level of English.
The surf guides know the Ericeira coast intimately, know what state of the tide is best for which break, which wind direction is offshore at each break and know just by looking at the indicators when a new swell is about to hit.
Each day your surf guide will drive you to a break that matches your surfing ability and make sure you know where and when to enter and exit the water. Your guide is there to make your trip run as smoothly as possible and will always try to be helpful and informative.

• Take care of all the driving, so you can sit back and relax.
• Advising you on activities in the area, tips on bars, restaurants etc.
