	The instructors at the Ericeira surf school are qualified and licensed by the: FPS Federação Portuguesa de Surf BSA British Surfing Association and DWW Deutsche Wellenreit Verband These licenses include a lifeguard and didactics degree. This ensures that you are taught by qualified surf instructors using proven teaching techniques and that all the courses follow the latest FPS, BSA & DWV safety guidelines for surf schools. All the instructors have grown up surfing and are well respected in the water and by the local surfing community, are multilingual and speak a good level of English.

Coaching

All the instructors that run the Surf Lessons and Surf Clinics are skilled watermen who have many years experience surfing and coaching at different levels. They have all the necessary skills and experience to help newbies, beginners and Intermediate surfers progress to a level where they can become independant surfers.

You are considered a newbie or beginner, if you never tried surfing before. You are considered an intermediate, if you had surf lessons before, you want to refresh what you've learnt and want to push your personal level.

For intermediate surfers the instructors will offer you surf courses designed around improving your style, error correction and advanced tuition aimed at taking your surfing to the next level.

The head coach has been on the European pro tour for many years and has years of experience as teacher, guide, supervisor and organizer. He can draw from his professional experience and it's amazing to see how much pleasure he still derives from surfing and teaching and to see how everything he does revolves around surfing. Obviously he's most at home in the water but in the evenings when he's manning the grill, he's unbeatable!

SURF GUIDES

If you surf like Kelly Slater, don't need and lessons and just want to explore all the breaks with a local surf guide you've come to the right place. The guides are all excellent surfers themselves and will be able to show you the best breaks, the ins-and-outs and can offer useful tips on how you can push your surfing to a higher level.

Your surf guide will always make a huge effort to get you to the best waves on the day. The surf guides are well respected surfers who know the Ericeira & Peniche coast intimately, each day your surf guide will drive you to a break that matches your surfing ability. The guides are there to make your trip run as smoothly as possible and will always try to be helpful and informative.

The surf guides‘ services include:
• Finding the best available surf in the area.
• Take care of all the driving, so you can sit back and relax.
• Taking video for the Video analysis sessions.
• Advising you on activities in the area, tips on bars, restaurants etc.
