BAJA CALIFORNIA SURF CAMPS & SURFARIS
Please find below our recommended clothing list for surf trips to Mexico. From our experience, this list will be adequate to cope with the demands of traveling in Baja. Though the climate is generally warm, it can be cool from sunset to sunrise.

note: If you're joining our Loreto surfari. There are no ATM's near the surf camp! There is one ATM in Loreto, so you can withdraw pesos upon arrival, or on the last 2 days of the trip while in Loreto.) You should bring some cash. Though you probably wont need much, we recommend each guest bring $300 - $400. U.S. dollars. This will cover the tourist permit, alcoholic beverages, snacks at the Cantina, your last 3 meals in Loreto, phone/internet, souvenirs, tips, and emergencies. Do not bring travelers cheques as they are difficult to cash.
Camping/Surfing Gear
Beginners joining our joining our Loreto surfari will be provided with Soft skinned Surfboard and Leash.
Experienced Surfers
You should bring 1-2 boards (expect punchy reef waves from waist high to double overhead) If you longboard we recommend bringing an 810 and a shorter fun board around 76. If you shortboard we recommend bringing your 62 and a fish or fun board.
Note: The longest board you can fly with is 9 packed. The surf school have 94 foam longboards available for use. These are pretty good boards for foamies and not flimsy.

Optional beginners and experienced surfers: Spring wetsuit (short arms and short legs) Most people will not need a wetsuit, however if you get cold easily and you want to surf for long periods of time, you may want to bring a spring suit.

Clothing General
This list is based on a 8 day surf trip or surf camp, obviously if you're planning a longer or shorter trip you need to take that into account.
2 pairs of shorts 8 t-shirts 2 pairs of long pants
1 sweater/sweatshirt/jacket
2 pairs of boardshorts, bikinis or bathing suits
Foot wear: Hiking boots, Tevas/Chacos. sandals
2 towels (1 for the beach and 1 for shower)
8 pairs of undies1 long sleeve shirt

Sun glasses (make sure they're polarized to protect your eyes)
Sun hat/visor/bandana Personal water bottle (capacity for 1-2 liters)
Camera and films (ziplock bag to carry camera with you)
Flashlight/Headlight
Notebook/Pencil
Reading Book
Neoprene or Lycra rashie for sun/wind protection while surfing.
Walkman and CD's or iPod and MP3's.
Note: if you are bringing a digital still or video camera there will be limited access to wall power outlets to recharge the batteries.
Optional: A hat you can wear while surfing (a chin strap helps it to stay on during wipeouts)
