Mexico is a bewitching, untamed and unpredictable land with fantastic surf. We will keep numbers as low as possible and ask you please to keep the exact location to yourself. We will simply refer to this surfing paradise as 'The Point'.

LOCATION & DESCRIPTION

Our Southern Baja Surf Camp and Surfari starts and ends in Loreto, located in Baja California Sur on the Sea of Cortez. There are direct flights to Loreto from San Diego, California. The trip includes transportation in a new surfari van from Loreto to the Pacific Coast where the surf camp is located. The 5 hour journey takes you along the magnificent Sea of Cortez, then all the way across the narrow peninsula through a variety of harsh and mesmerizing desert terrain, and ends with an hour long bumpy drive down a dirt road which leads to 'The Point'.

This trip is an off-the-beaten-track surfing expedition to one of the best waves in North America, during prime swell season. The point is way out there on a beautiful stretch of remote, desert coast and well worth the trip; it's likely that these will be the longest most perfect waves you have ever seen! This trip is ideal for all levels of surfers.

The Surf Camp is a portable eco-friendly setup designed to make minimal impact on the beautiful beach which will be your temporary home. Excellent surf, small groups, gourmet camp meals and the adventurous flavor of Mexico... it's the perfect recipe for an unforgettable surf trip.

SURF CAMP OPTIONS

LEARN 2 SURF - Absolute Beginner or Brush Up On Your Skills

For the beginners this is the ultimate learn-to-surf adventure. 'The Point' offers an extremely long and gentle sand bottom wave. This means you can get rides which last over a minute! You will get more wave time here in a week than you would during a whole summer of surfing at most other beaches!
The Beginner Package includes surf equipment and four hours of daily surf instruction. Safety is our highest priority, so we maintain a ratio of at least one CPR and First Aid Certified instructor to every four students.

CORE SURFER - Reeling, Barrelling Rights for Experienced Surfers

Experienced surfers will not believe their eyes as they watch five waves breaking at once, peeling down the point with lines stacked to the horizon. A short walk from camp there are a variety of other fast and punchy right points which attract more swell and are more suited for shortboards. The surf at 'The Point' is amazing; a series of 7 right point breaks with punchy bowls, reeling barrels and rippable walls.

The point pulls in the summer south swells which are generally between waist high to a few feet overhead, with some days in the double overhead range. The second point is the longest most perfect wave you'll ever see. It’s a long racy wall, providing rides up to 2 minutes long, even when it’s only knee high! The take-off spot is hollow and close to the rocks… experienced surfers only. The rest of the wave peels along perfectly for hundreds of yards over a sandy bottom.

All trips begin and end in Loreto and include transportation in a luxury van. The journey from Loreto to 'The Point' is covered in 4-5 hours and the journey takes you along the magnificent Sea of Cortez, then all the way across the narrow peninsula through a variety of harsh and mesmerizing desert terrain, and ends with an hour of bumpy dirt road leading to 'The Point'.
