HOSSEGOR SURFING HOLIDAYS - SURF CAMP - LEARN-2-SURF Course
The Seignosse surf school is open Monday to Friday and you will surf for 4 hours per day, usually in two 2hr sessions. Beginner courses are run from Seignosse beach and a picnic lunch is provided. Ages range from the youngest ever student aged 6 to a record 79 years of age!

What are our OBJECTIVES?
The main aim of the 5 day Beginners Surf Course is get participants up and riding waves in a safe and fun environment. The surf course aimed at this level covers the Surf Essentials outlined below. Beginners’ first lessons are on soft trainer boards, these boards helping you to stand and ride waves on your first day, then moving on to riding fiberglass production boards during the course. At the end of the course each partipipant should have experienced the rush of riding a green/broken wave safely to the shore.

• Proning, stalling and accelerating board

• Turning right or left
• Paddling “outside”
• Position in line-up, wave selection, and timing
• Catching green waves and angled take-offs.

WHO IS IT FOR?
The courses are open to those with no, or very little, surfing experience and to surfers with some basic knowledge who wish to improve and expand their skills.
Surf courses include the use of all boards, wetsuits and transport. Courses are run in small groups and each individual is taught at their own pace and according to their own needs.
Surf safety is an important factor. No matter what your level of surfing, beginner or experienced, the instructors, who are all Professional Beach Lifeguards, will make sure you learn in a safe and fun environment.
Surf knowledge is part of what makes this course so special. The overall view of surfing provided by your instructors ensures that you get the right start to an addiction of a lifetime. Subjects, such as surfboard design, the history of surfing, weather and waves, surfing fitness, the rules of surfing, types of surfspots, and many other subjects expand your knowledge of this incredible art.
In Hawaii surfing was never just for men. Hawaiian legends are full of great female surfers - It was only when missionaries arrived on the islands and started to discourage women from surfing that a gradual decline started. Today, there is a tremendous growth in womens surfing, and these courses reflect this. Families too find the courses an ideal holiday.

The Surf School & Coaches
Seignosse Surf School provides some of Europe's finest surf tuition. The school uses the latest safety guidelines and most advanced techniques. The skill acquired over years of coaching professional surfers by director Kevin Olsen is passed on to his team who are all BSA (British Surfing Association) qualified Instructors.
