Surf School Lanzarote is possibly Europe's finest surf school. The school uses the latest safety guidelines and most advanced techniques. The skill acquired over 22 years of teaching by director Tim Jones is passed on to his team who are all BSA (British Surfing Association) Level 1,2,3 and 4 qualified Instructors. Also all Instructors are Professional Beach Lifeguards. The Lanzarote Surf School is alsos a BSA Level 4 Approved Surf School, the BSA's highest award and is the few only Level 4 Approved surf school outside the UK.

Surfing is great fun but sometimes frustrating without the help and guidance that Surfers often give each other. Surf School Lanzarote is at the cutting edge of Surf coaching. Based at Playa de Famara on the north side of the Island the consistent waves, warm water and spectacular scenery all add to the experience of learning Surfing in a safe and friendly environment.

Coaching

Obviously 23 years of teaching people of all ability levels is important but techniques don't stand still. Tim is the trainer who trainers go to to learn to teach! Tim is constantly passing his skills and knowledge onto each of his intructors.

To have fun, you need to be safe. Good coaching means your Instructor understanding your individual needs and adapting the tuition according to your ability. When you are taught at your own pace you will suddenly find your speed of learning becomes a rapid learning curve. The coaching is available for all levels from those who have never surfed before to those who have Surfed for a number of years. Surfing is progressive, beginner intermediate or experienced there is always something to be experienced and learnt.

Whatever your experience level this school provides the chance to 'Go for it'

The Surf Lessons have a low student to instructor ratio for safety reasons and to ensure you get the attention you need on dry land and in the water. All participants are placed with an instructor who specialize in teaching at a particular level. Equipment

All the equipment used by the Surf School in Lanzarote is specifically designed for beginners and intermediates with safety being the key factor.

Beginners will use softdeck 'Swell' boards specifically designed for both stability and safety. Intermediates will use Bic boards which provide a good blend of stability, manouverability and performance. Custom boards are available for more experienced surfers who are already comfortable riding a higher performance board.

The instructors will select a board suitable for your size, weight and ability.

All the equipment is checked and maintained on a regular basis to ensure you have the best material at your disposal. The school also provide a wide range of good quality wetsuits and rash vests.
