SURFARIS FOR EXPERIENCED SURFERS IN LANZAROTE

PERSONAL GUIDED SURF TRAVEL

All our guides are skilled watermen who have many years experience surfing in the Canary Islands and around the world. Some have even competed at professional level on the local and EPSA surfing circuits. As the guides live and surf locally they have earned respect in the water and within local community. So the only thing you need to fear in the water are the waves!

Tap The Source

The guides will share their intimate knowledge of the local waves and also give you vital pointers such as where the best entry and exit points are and where the channels, rips and safety points are.

SAFETY

Please note surfaris are intended for surfers who can hack shallow gnarly reef breaks. For your own safety and the safety of other surfers in the lineup, your guide will access your ability and make the final decision as to your abilty to handle the break. Lava is pretty unforgiving and stitches hurt.

Typical Day

The Surfaris in Lanzarote allow you to experience some of the best waves it and the outer islands have to offer. The swell, wind and weather conditions will determine the daily venue. Here's a rough idea of what to expect whilst on the Surfari in Lanzarote:

Previous Night: Check out the local swell, wind and weather predictions

Next morning: Wake up with anticiaption of the day ahead, get some fuel for the day... Breakfast. Prepare yourself for the search for that perfect wave.

Meet your local surf guide, discuss the options and get on the open road to the chosen best spot of the day.

Drive down track, adrenalin pumping as you see lines of swell stacked to the horizon.

Out of the van and into your wetsuit, watching the sets peel in and crash on the reef.

Warm-up, plenty of stretching and wax your board.

Discuss entry and exit points, and channels/rips.

Paddle out to an uncrowded peak with your new found surf buddy.

The rest is a chapter in your personal surfing history.

That Evening: Bore the pants off the rest of the crew in the surf house with tales of back-dooring the Canarian Pipeleine and becoming the next Surfing legend! On the other hand you could be complaining about surfing onshore slop whilst picking urchin spines out of your feet. Shit happens, but it's days like these that help fuel your addiction....
