THE LANZAROTE SURFING COURSES
The courses are open to those with none or very little surfing experience and to surfers with experience, who wish to improve and expand their skills.
Courses include the use of all boards, wetsuits and transport if necessary. Courses are run in small groups and each individual is taught at their own pace and according to their own needs.
Surf safety is an important factor. No matter what your level of surfing, beginner or experienced, the instructors, who are all Professional Beach Lifeguards, will make sure you learn in a safe and fun environment.
What makes this course so special is the overall view of surfing provided. Subjects, such as surfboard design, the history of surfing, weather and waves, surfing fitness, the rules of surfing, types of surfspots, and many other subjects expand your knowledge of this incredible art.
In Hawaii surfing was never just for men. Hawaiian legends are full of great female surfers - It was only when missionaries arrived on the islands and started to discourage women from surfing that a gradual decline started. Today, there is a tremendous growth in womens surfing, and these courses reflect this. Families too find the courses an ideal holiday.

ADVANCED COURSE OUTLINE for Intermediate to pro surfers
To be on this group you don't need to be world champion, you just need to know the basics. This course is aimed at those who have surfed before or followed a beginner course at some time. This way you don't have to go through all the basics again.
The focus of this group is on your individual surfing. Once you have learnt how to take off on a wave, you start to develop your own style and this is when timely error correction will ensure that your surfing develops quickly and properly. Learn and practice the bottom turn, start to aim for the top section of a wave, finding the pocket and the cut back.
Members of the British Team have trained here including three times British Longboard Champion, Lee Ryan. Experienced surfers may wish to bring their own board(s). Three and two millimeter wetsuits are provided and our waters are very warm. You may want to bring your own wetsuit.
