Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the birthplace of surfing and Capital City of the Canary Islands. Our base is the "Las Canteras" area of the city which boasts one of Spains best city surf beaches and as tourism first developed here on the island it has a real cosmopolitan feel and vibe.

All guests stay in our sociable Surf Apartments which are only meters away from the beach and surf breaks. Our Surf Camp is great value for money and ideal for single travellers and young friends who want a city surf break and enjoy the laid back Canarian nightlife apres surf!

The Quiksilver Surf School offers surf lessons for beginners and intermediate surfers. Whether you have never surfed before or whether you just want to improve your skills, the professional coaching team will help you achieve your goals. The local instructors will work with you in small groups teaching beginner to advanced surfing fundamentals, which include water safety, surfing techniques, surf etiquette, proper equipment and wave selection etc. You'll receive 4 hours of surf coaching per day with a break for a picnic lunch. The surf classes start from 10.00 in the morning - the break for the picnic lunch is held after the first two hours of surfing. This is followed by another 2 hour surfing session. If you find you are too tired after the first two hours of surfing, the remaining 2 hours can taken in the afternoon from 16.30 onwards.

These popular self catering apartments and base for the surf camp are located in the heart of the "Las Canteras" area of town only meters away from the beach, the surf, local amenities and nightlife. The accommodation is popular with single travellers, young people and travelling surfers which creates a great vibe and atmosphere. The apartments comprise of a fully equipped kitchen/diner, a lounge/living area, 2 bedrooms (twin room and bunk room) and seperate bathroom (shower). The local team will help make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
