of wind/swell conditions.
From Novemebr to February powerful north atlantic ground swells
unleash their power
on the many world-class
reefs and beaches
located between
the capital of
Las Palmas in the
North West to Galdar
in the North East.
The capital of
Las Palmas has
the largest surf
population on the
island, has lot’s of
surf shops and
is home one of
the most INFAMOUS
waves in the Canary
Islands - El Confital.
The west coast is rumoured to have some epic waves and if
you spend some
time exploring
the island you
will score some
good quality un-crowded
waves.
The southern coast offers a complete contrast to the north and mainly comprises of mellow beach breaks.

THE SURF EXPERIENCE
For beginners our Learn-2-Surf programme is ideal. The course follows the guidelines laid down by the FES - Federación Española Surf (Spanish Surf Fedaration) and the instructors
are qualified
lifeguards ensuring
you learn and
progress in a
safe and fun
environment.
For intermediate surfers Gran Canaria is a great place to take your surfing
to the next level.
We have put together
a special Surf
Clinic Programme aimed people who are already catching green
waves and who would
like to work on
specific techniques
and experience
surfing a wider
range of less intimidating
waves with easy
access.
For experienced surfers looking to hone their reef surfing skills our Guided Surfaris provide you with a local knowledgeable surf guide who will make sure you surf the best waves on any given day. The guides are there to drive you to and from the surf, show you the 'ins and outs', supply vital local information and to ensure you spend as much time in the water as possible.
NEW: For bodyboarders we now offer full coaching and training for all levels. Our bodyboarding coaches Richard Días and Ardiel Jiménez are both in the World top 20 and can coach everyone from complete beginners to advanced or experienced bodyboarders. WHO WILL IT APPEAL TO?
The diversity of the waves, the climate, tourist infrastructure and short flights times from most European cities makes Gran Canaria a suitable destination for all levels of surfers.
