KITEBOARDING TUITION
The teaching program has been developed according to IKO (International
Kiteboarding Organization)
standards and guidelines.
The lessons provide
a proven step-by-step
approach to learn Kiteboarding
safely and quickly.
Our instructors are
all IKO level 1 or 2 qualified.

KITEBOARDING COURSE OUTLINE
DAY 1
Introduction to kites with a look at different types and sizes.
Rigging up (inflation, connecting lines, harness and how it works).
Launching (off the beach).
Landing (on the beach).
Basic Flying movement, explanation of the window, etc.
Getting kitted out (choosing the wetsuit, bouyancy aid, crash hat).
Finally bodydragging downwind and gaining confidence in the water.
DAY 2
This day will start with another bodydrag session, then it's onto the board to practice!

Kite recovery from the water
Downwind sailing
At the end of the course, students will be assessed and then accredited with the Kiteboarder Card form the IKO stating the level achieved during instruction. This can be used to further your instruction at any recognised IKO center.

KITEBOARDING SAFETY
Your safety is our prime concern, we offer a low student-to-teacher
ratio and have a rescue
vehicle (Zodiac)
at our disposal at
all times. The center
has the latest s
afety systems as well
as helmets and life
vests.
SURFING TUITION
Our surf instructors work with small groups teaching the fundamentals of surfing including water safety, technique, wave selection, etiquette etc. The lessons run from Monday to Saturday (Sundays free surfing) 10:00 am to 3:00 pm daily. Lessons in English, German, French and Spanish.
This is the only BSA (British Surfing Association) approved
Surfschool in Fuerteventura.
All instructors are
SLSA qualified lifeguards
and are vesred in basic
firts aid.
SURFING COURSE OUTLINE
Our BSA Qualified surf instructors aim to have you standing
up on your board after only 3 days! During these 3 days you
will learn how to stand up as well as primary water safety.
You will spend 3-4 hours in the water every day learning technique,
board control, paddling and of course 'wipe out' survival ;-).
In addition to this you will also be given theory lessons
on types of breaks, surf board design, equipment, history and
water safety.
• Beach safety, currents/rip tides, Weather and Wave
formation
• Equipment - How to handle it in the water
• Proning, stalling and accelerating board
• Paddling techniques
• Popup/stance refinement
• Catching broken waves
• Take-off (straight)
• Safe Wipe-out technique
• Turning right or left

SURFING AND WATER SAFETY
Your safety is our prime concern, we offer the following surfing safety precautions:
Soft skinned surfboards are available for novices to use.
All surfing instructors are at least BSA Level I Accredited Coaches
(which includes an open water lifesaving qualification).
Trainee/Assistant coaches are supervised by an accredited instructor.
An Instructor is responsible for no more than 8 pupils in the water at any one time.
All surfboards have suitable leashes (ankle straps).
Instructors have a suitable life saving aid near at hand whilst pupils are in the water.
A first aid kit is available at the beach.
