COSTA CALMA SURFING HOLIDAYS - NIGHTLIFE & OTHER KICKS
Costa Calma is a purpose built resort which is largely dominated by hotel accommodation. The nightlife reflects this and is focused around restaurants and a few lively bars and drinking holes. About a 30 minute drive from Costa Calma is the resort of Morro Jable. This is a large resort which still has a pretty old town area at its centre.
Costa Calma was first founded in the 80's, before that there was nothing but beach and a few wild goats. The official name for this area of Costa Calma is "Canada del Rio" and you'll find that street directories and street signs may still refer to it as this. Costa Calma is situated on the narrowest part of the island, at the start of the Jandia peninsula. Here the east coast and west coast are only a few minutes drive apart. Near the surf base there is a dirt road that runs along side a windfarm, which leads you to the untouched, rugged west coast. Here you will find majestic cliffs, and deserted beaches just waiting to be discovered.
The beaches are by far the best feature of Costa Calma and its worth while taking time out for a long walk along one of the finest stretches of coast.

AFTERNOON PROGRAMME
After a day of surfing, you are sure to have built up an appetite. So three times a week, we all like to get together and relax over a meal.
On Sundays, the afternoon program begins with a casual drink by the pool, followed by a short walk to the local pizzeria, 'Di Roberto'.
Tuesdays take us to a more traditional spanish past time, with tapas and cervezas in the restaurant 'San Borodon'.
On Thursdays we invite you to join us for a BBQ at the surf base. A casual,
cosy get together in the garden. We will provide the meat and/or fish, condiments, some salad and tunes, but we ask you to bring your own drinks.
