THE KINGDOM OF SPAIN

is the largest of the three sovereign nations that make up the Iberian peninsula—the others are Portugal and Andorra—located in southwestern Europe. To the west (and, in Galicia, south), it borders Portugal. To the south, it borders Gibraltar and, through its cities in North Africa (Ceuta and Melilla), Morocco. To the northeast, along the Pyrenees mountain range, it borders France and the tiny principality of Andorra. It also includes the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea, the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean and a number of uninhabited islands on the Mediterranean side of the strait of Gibraltar.

KITESURFING HOLIDAYS IN SPAIN

Spain is one of Europe's best kitesurfing destinations with Tarifa and the Canary Islands receiving the most public attention, and rightly so. Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Graciosa, Gran Canaria and Tenerife in the Canary Islands offer some of the top kitesurfing destinations on the planet. There are, however, kitesurfing spots all over Spain that offer a huge variety of conditions and options to the travelling kitesurfer. You can kitesurf from Spain's northern Mediterranean region right down to Huelva and Cadiz in the south and Galicia in the north.

In addition to having excellent wind stats, Spain has some of the best nightlife in Europe, the Spanish know how to party and many clubs and bars stay open all night. As if all that isn't enough - the food is brilliant, the Spanish have turned snacking into an art form with 'Tapas' which is generally a cheap and delicious way to sample the vast culinary delights of Spain.
