LOCATION & DESCRIPTION
The hostel is located in the old part of Lagos, about a 15 minute walk from the bus or train station. It's on a quiet little street, close to Iglesia de San Antonio - which can be used as a landmark to find your way back through the maze of narrow, twisting lanes & streets. At night, the bell tower is lit up and easy to spot.
The hostel is a two storey building - reception, dining area and kitchen. The mens' rooms are on the ground floor and the womens' rooms are upstairs. Just off the dining area is a large, open courtyard with tables and chairs around a huge central palm tree. This common area is a brilliant idea if you are a single traveler as it gives you the perfect opportunity to meet others. Most of the guests here are under 30 but there are always a few families with kids staying here.
THE ROOMS
The rooms are clean and bright and each bed has a separate reading light which is handy at night. The bathrooms are just down the hall and are well maintained. The rooms here are cleaned daily and the super-friendly staff and are only too happy to advise you on all the nightlife hot spots (don't be surprised if they are out partying at the same places you are!).
The hostel also has a decent kitchen and fridges. Breakfast is included in the price and includes: hard-boiled egg, crusty rolls, freshly baked bread, croissant, cheese, jam and coffee or tea.
AMENITIES & FACILITIES
The hostel has a small library and internet access is available. There is also an internet cafe at Lançarote bar, just a few doors away. There is a popular, sandy beach less than a 5 minute walk away and there are many little shops and restaurants within a few blocks of the hostel.

This lovely Pensao (guest house) is located on a quiet street, in the old town of Lagos. But you're only seconds away from the bars, cafe's and restaurants. The beach of Lagos is 15 min walk. ROOMS
The rooms are basic but clean and neat. Each room caters for up to 3 people, has an en-suite bathroom and some rooms have sea view. Each room also has tea and coffee making facilities & a TV.

Estrela da Luz is set on a gentle incline in landscaped surroundings in the heart of Praia da Luz. The complex is 5 mins from the beautiful beach of Praia Da Luz. Within walking distance to the local supermarket, cinema and a host of restaurants, cafe's, bars & nightclubs.
The accommodsation in Praia da Luz, provides an excellent base from which to explore Lagos and the western Algarve. We offer high end accommodation in a luxury apartments with the possibility of sharing with up to 6 people, 2 people per room in a maximum 3 bedroom apartment.
APARTMENTS
The luxurious apartments are fully furnished and equipped with underfloor central heating, television, cable, DVD and a central vacuum system. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday including, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave and coffee maker. The apartments have private balconies with sea views and/or overlook the outdoor pools.
There is maid service twice a week (excluding public holidays) towels are changed changed twice a week and linen once a week.

The Techno gym is a state of art fitness centre designed by John Aldridge, complete with gymnasium and aerobics studio. The services on offer here include health and fitness assessment, personal training, yoga, pilates, karate classes and a fabulous indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. There are 3 pools in total, an adults only pool, a family pool and a children's pool. The outdoor pools are surrounded by sun beds and sun umbrellas and served by the Gazebo poolside bar, providing snacks and drinks throughout the day.
Estrela Health & Beauty provides a wide range of treatments using the full Elemis product range. Spoil yourself with delights such as "Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow" or "Elemis Exotic Frangipani Body Nourish Wrap", in addition to perennial favourites such as facials, aromatherapy massages and manicures and pedicures.
The Hugo Beaty Café & Bar serves food from breakfast to light bites, daily specials and freshly prepared sandwiches. In the evening it transforms into a chic bar and with an extensive selection of wines and beers offering a great place to relax. At the rear of the bar is the Steve Davis Club Room (only for adults) where you can play pool, cards or watch live sport on the big screen TV. - informal but lively! Internet access available here at a booth with 2 PCs and in the bar you can use your own laptop to wireless link. Otherwise there are at least three internet cafes in the village within five minutes walk.
Restaurant Calabaza offers a new fusion of modern Portuguese with and exotic twist of African, Asian and South American tastes.
The multipurpose sports area is suitable for football, volleyball and basket ball and professional coaching can be booked for the tennis court. The children's playground provides a safe play area for young explorers and the Kids' Activities Club will keep them busy during the summer holidays
A regular courtesy bus runs from Estrela da Luz to Lagos town centre.
