KITESURFING TUITION

The beginners kitesurfing teaching programme has been developed according to the VDWS (International School Association for Watersports) & IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) standards and guidelines. The lessons provide a proven step-by-step approach to learn kitesurfing safely and quickly. The kitesurf school is a recognized VDWS & IKO center. INTERMEDIATE CLINIC OR REFRESHER COURSE

ADVANCED BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE KITESURFING COURSE

This 6 hour course is designed to help you achieve your next personal level and covers some of the trickier aspects of kitesurfing that require professional coaching.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

This course is aimed at those who have done some kitesurfing in the past but need help going upwind, you are up-n-riding but are having some difficulty with direction, you want to be able to go out and return to the same spot... or simply those who have completed a beginner course and want to take the next step. You need to be able to re-launch a kite in deep water.

DURATION

6 Hours

GOAL

The aim here is to teach you how to go upwind, practise controlled riding and to show you how to go out and return to the same place.

ADVANCED KITESURFING CLINIC

After you are proficient in your basic skills, it's time to get some hang time!

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

This course is aimed at those who already have basic kitesurfing skills and who want to progress to their next personal level. You need to be able to go upwind and be able to go out and return to the same position.

GOAL

You will learning the advanced board and kite-handling skills necessary to safely use performance gear in high winds. You will also improve technique and learn to jumps.

REFRESHER/SUPERVISION KITESURFING CLINIC

Proficient kiteboarder but this is your first time in Cabo Verde? This is for you.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

This course is aimed at those who already have good kitesurfing skills and who want some supervision, tips and tricks on kitesurfing in Cape Verde.

GOAL

To give you a supervised introduction to the local kitesurfing spots and equipment used for kiteboarding in Sal.

COMPLETED THE Clinic, I'M HOOKED, WHAT NOW?

KITESURFING EQUIPMENT RENTAL OR FURTHER TUITION

You could hire equipment and practise on your own or take some additional lessons to help you perfect an aspect of your kitesurfing.

You could also at this point be at a level where you could take an advanced kitesurfing course & take your kitesurfing to the next level. The kitesurfing Academy is open from 9 am to 5:30 pm daily.

This kitesurfing accreditation ensures that you are taught by qualified instructors using proven teaching techniques & that all the courses follow the latest safety guidelines for accredited schools.

KITESURFING INSTRUCTORS

The Kitesurfing academy owner is a VDWS instructor and he has trained all the instructors here. The instructors have years of experience as Kitesurfers & kitesurf instructors and are accustomed to coaching at different levels. They have all the necessary skills & experience to help newbies & beginners to progress to a level where they can become independant Kitesurfers. The instructors are multi-lingual & speak English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.

KITESURFING SAFETY

Your safety is our prime concern, the Cape Verde Kitesurf Academy offer a low student-to-teacher ratio and the have a rescue vehicle (Zodiac) at their disposal at all times. The center has the latest safety systems as well as helmets and life vests.
