KITE SURFING SPOTS IN LA GRACIOSA
PLAYA DEL RISCO
Located at the foot of a spectacular range of cliffs in Lanzarote and facing La Graciosa is a 2 Km long desert beach perfect for kite surfing. Access is only by boat which means this beach is normally deserted. Due to it's position and the predominent wind direction the wind is almost always cross shore and it also receives shelter from the huge swells that hit the north shore of lanzarote.
PLAYA LA CONCHA
Located to the north west of La Graciosa is a 1 Km long white sandy beach with spectacular views over Montaña Clara and Alegranza. Access is only by 4x4 and again it is usually uncrowded. This coast is open to big swells, the beach has a heavy shore break and there are strong currents. This location is for expert kite surfers only. However, the beach due to its expanse and the soft sand provides an excellent area for beginners to learn how to launch and fly the kite.
CALETA DE SEBO LAGOON
On a spring tide/full moon a large lagoon to the south-east of the village Caleta de Sebo fills providing a 1Km area to kite surf.
SALAO
The beach is located close to the village Caleta de Sebo and works on big tides when the wind is cross shore.
PLAYA ALAMBAR
This large beach is located to north of the village Caleta de Sebo and is accessible only by 4x4. This stretch works with easterly winds and can provide big waves for wave riding.
