KITESURFING HOLIDAYS IN CORRALEJO - FUERTEVENTURA NORTH
KITESURFING COURSES
We offer a wide range of tuition, from beginner up to advanced. Although the kitesurf centre is located at an ideal kitesurfing beach, you are free to hire equipment and take it with you to other locations.
All courses are run by qualified instructors and the centers are VDWS and IKO recognised. This means you are guaranteed professional tuition with particular attention paid to your safety. As a recognised IKO Center it can issue the IKO Kiteboarder card which means your progress can be tracked and your tuition can be furthered at any recognised IKO center. There is also a very informative kiteboarding booklet available (cost 12 €). Below you'll find an outline of our kitesurfing courses.
EQUIPMENT
All the equipment is of the highest standard and complies to the safety standards laid down by the VDWS/IKO. For more detailled information on the equipment we use please see our equipment guide.

NO EXPERIENCE Kitesurfing course 2 days (8 hours)
|

Start days: Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday | Start time: 10.00am & 14.00pm
|
|

Day 1
- Introduction to kites with a look at different types and sizes.
- Rigging up (inflation, connecting lines, harness and how it works).
- Launching (off the beach).
- Landing (on the beach).
- Basic Flying movement, explanation of the window, etc.
- Getting kitted out (choosing the wetsuit, bouyancy aid, crash hat).
- Finally bodydragging downwind and gaining confidence in the water.
Day 2
This day kicks off with another bodydrag session, followed by:
- Waterstarting
- Kite recovery from the water
- Downwind sailing

KITEBOARDING SAFETY
Your safety is our prime concern, we offer a low student-to-teacher ratio and have a rescue vehicle (Zodiac) at our disposal at all times. The center has the latest safety systems as well as helmets and life vests.

BEGINNER Waterwork course 1 day (4 hours)

Start days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday | Start time: 10.00am & 14.00pm
|
|
|
This course is aimed at people who have done a beginner kite course elsewhere and for one reason or another were unable to complete it or feel they would like to recap on the water work to boost their confidence. They know all the theory, are competent beach flyers but just need to cover body dragging and getting on the board.
DO NOT BOOK THIS COURSE UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO RE-LAUNCH

INTERMEDIATE Boardwork course (2 hours)
|

Start days: Monday & Wednesday | Start time: 10.00am & 14.00pm
|
|
|
Aimed at perfecting any of the following:
- Up wind sailing
- Gybing
- Jumping
These have to be done in this order, so unless you can Gybe, you can't learn to jump, etc. All courses include the kites, boards, wetsuits, bouyancy aid and instructor.
