SURFING IN THE SOUTH OF FUERTEVENTURA
The Zoco Crew have just returned from another great trip to Fuerteventura. We are stoked to be able to bring you a brand new surfing experience in the SOUTH of the island. We spent some time with the Costa Calma surf school team and together we've come up with some awesome new surfing packages. We hope you'll all get a chance to enjoy the stunningly beautiful beaches, warm, clear water the aquamarine ocean.
DISCOVER COSTA CALMA & THE JANDIA PENINSULA
Situated off the west coast of Africa and to
the south of Lanzarote the volcanic
island of Fuerteventura recieves
the brunt of North Atlantic swells
from October to April. The beach
breaks along the Jandia peninsula provide consistent fun waves
ideal for beginners and intermediates. Thanks to its geographic position, La Pared beach is a swell magnet and receives good waves all year round from the Atlantic ocean. The wide beach and the shallow water, create ideal conditions for learning surf on a low tide and more challenging conditions as the tide comes in.

SURF, KITE or WIND... FUERTEVENTURA HAS IT ALL!
This is the best season for surfers and the south of Fuerte is a great place to learn to surf, while the North is better for experienced surfers. Kitesurfers and windsurfers this is probably one of the only short haul winter destinations that still delivers consistant wind. |
Fuerteventura is a great winter-sun destination where the best surf is delivered to the beaches and reefs on a daily basis from October to April. The wind generally dies down from October to March but the south of Fuerteventura lies in a wind acceleration zone which means it has good stats all year round. In the north of Fuerte we offer free 'no-wind' activities like wakeboarding or surfing, so, no matter where you choose to go, you'll always be enjoying the water and waves.
Cheap flights with Ryanair and EasyJet. Ryan Air's winter schedule includes flights to Fuerteventura from Birmingham, Stanstead, Liverpool, East Mids, Bremen, Dusseldorf, Dublin, Shannon & Frankfurt.
